Eleven wells at Anthony, Kansas.

Our current position is a shallow oil and gas package in and around Anthony, in Harper County, southern Kansas — mature, well-understood rock along the Mississippian and Chester trend near the Oklahoma line.

It is exactly the kind of asset the market overlooks: small volumes per well, decades of production history, established infrastructure and lease roads already in place, and no exploration risk to underwrite.

Eleven wells are currently under ownership. They were acquired on current cash flow and lifting cost rather than on a reserve narrative, at a basis well below what it would cost to drill and equip the same production today.

The package includes producers, wells returned to production after periods of downtime, and candidates held for future workover — a normal mix for late-life assets, and the reason our diligence is weighted toward operating condition rather than paper reserves.

The work here is unglamorous and it is where the return lives: keeping pumping units turning, tightening downtime, sizing equipment correctly, staying ahead of rod and pump failures, and watching the daily numbers on every well rather than the field as a whole.

Each well that goes from intermittent to steady adds margin without adding acreage. That is the compounding engine of the position.

Associated gas here is the classic stranded molecule — modest volumes, limited takeaway, and often flared or vented rather than captured.

At Anthony our aim is to capture that gas instead of releasing it, so each well gives up more of its energy and less of it reaches the atmosphere.
